Phil I don’t know if I ever told you this but I remember that day, well. Since you and I were up there from the same town. I felt responsible because my dad told your dad to send you there. I never told anyone before but now that statue of limitations are up.
I tracked that ignorant hillbilly down and killed him slow and painfully for you. I was just a child but I found my life path. Your kind, and smart, and genuine. I have always had your back and due to the cruel people that you somehow attract…I have stayed busy for three decades teaching lessons to all those that hurt you. Be warned anyone
Who picks on Phil, in the silent calm moment that you will never see coming I will be there.
BAM!
Ok maybe I just stood there in shock holding the canoe over my head. Maybe I have wished that I could help heal the world by slow cooking every horrible moron that picks on kind-hearted innocent people of all shape and color.
Just in case I actually grew to become the bully’s bully. Get to actually know yourself people. If you do you will realize you are fucked up… It’s ok we all are. Until that is, the development of compassion born from your own pain and struggle to find your way.

Phil, as always, you demonstrate literary talent and wit that needs to be exposed to the masses. And one day it will, I have no doubt about that. Keep writing, I check this blog every now and then and was pleasantly surprised to see a 2014 entry. Hopefully there will be more things to write about as the year progresses.
